    Hi Guys

    I agree with Ned...without clear pics of the obverse and reverse, any opinion would be a guess at best.

    It does have a Souval look to it, but this obverse design was used by several makers.

    Hi Guys

    This Post War Souval examples are known for this style of catch and the collecting community refers to it as the "Souval Claw Catch".

    In regards to the Post War Souval Infanterie Sturmabzeichen's the claw catch is one of two attributes that stand out from the wartime examples. Another easily noticeable feature is the missing leaf between the k98k stock inside the sling area.

    Here is one I have, notice the same style catch as Dan's Panzerkampf Abzeichen.
