Original Infanterie Sturmabzeichen?

Seen this badge, but the makers marks (if any) and not clear. Is it a good badge? I would guess at a late war zinc. It is part of a larger collection and whether I pursue it further depends on whether this one is good.

Better pics would be good. but at first i dont feel so good maybe its the casting to me on the back? MAYBE it just dark. Cant see front detail to good ethier straight on pic of DETAIL of the gun and sling might help. ERIC

Thats a real odd looking hinge there plus the casting marks on the back of the rifle are a worry. I'm pretty sure TR quality control wouldn't have let this baby pass muster.

Theres alot of these things on the market so unless this is a real bargain and you are prepared to take the risk, i'd be looking for something else, for me i'd pass on this one.

Thanks guys. It was the test one I picked from a small, very reasonably priced collection. I took the view that if this was bad then the better ones probably were too. I had the same feelings as you, as I already have one of these that looks a lot better, but live in hope!
