Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse Authentic or Garbage?

Since joining these forums I've been spending hours going through them and reexamining all my pieces. I've already found that my panzer assault badge that I've had for 20 years is a piece of junk, and now I'm worried that this may be a repro as well. Any thoughts from those with greater expertise would be welcome as the medal has no makers mark and the suspension ring seems much thinner then many of the other examples on this forum. There also seems to be some flaws on the hilt of the swords on the reverse but I'm just not confident enough to make the final call.
