    Morning / Afternoon all

This nice looking cross came on the market yesterday.

On the pin you may see what appears to be a poorly stamped '2' however, this cross is no Juncker.

I looked at the other makers who had a 2 in their mark and thought it might resemble a '52' Carl Zimmermann but not identical. The setup is also similar with that of a Zimmermann EK1.

Would very much appreciate your help as I see similarities in some authentic examples as much as I do in some copies.

    Cheers, Jamie

    This was a mystery

Not sure if it should be a "2", but not a Juncker cross anyway.

Cannot find any match to this cross, only resemblance.

For example the hinge/catch looks similar to Deschler, but not the straight pin.

The straight pin looks similar to the C.F. Zimmermann, but not the hinge.

    Thanks Jonas,

Yup it is a puzzle for sure. I'm wondering if the pin has been soldered on? Pictures 2 and 3 show a little area of uneveness where the horizontal meets the vertical of the pin (if that makes sense), it could be that it has been period repaired.

Anyhew, there is enough doubt to make me leave it alone. Even more so that the dealer is selling it at 185 euros, ludicrous!!!!

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

set-up is similiar as by Klein & Quenzer. But the front (i.e. sword grips) doesn't match. Really mysterious piece
