Kriegsverdiesnstkreuz erste klasse ohne schwerte
Good afternoon gentlemen,
I have just bought my first KVK I and I am looking for some opinions on it - authenticity etc.
It is maker marked 50 for Karl Gschiermeister, Wien. I had the option of buying a number 4 Steinhauer u. Lueck, but this one seemed in a nicer condition.
As ever, all opinions are wellcome.
It looks alright, a bit weird how the maker mark is sideways i will say, which could just be a slip up in the manufacturing process. The hinge block also has me confused.
But thats just my views. Im still learning about these myself and would wait for more opinions
It looks fine to me.

No problem with this very nice "50" Karl Gschiermeister
Good choose for your first KVK1 since these are, more of less, always found in minty condition.

A nice one! The majority of these crosses seem to be zincers in terrible condition.

Nice 50. Along with S&L, a maker that is relatively easy to find in good condition.
Brodie, Gschiermeister only made this version in tombac.
