Here are mine two Deschler KVK2, tombak (left) and zinc (right). Normally all zinc KVK2 (regardless of maker) have a much thicker suspension ring than the tomak version.

    Hi guys,

the Buntmetall, of which KVK2 corsses were made, is rather bronze as tombak (but 1. Klasse was produced of silvered tombac or zinc). Please notice, that the bronze crosses were not coated - and they keep natural color of metal.

A few weeks ago we had another thread about mint KVK2 sets by Deschler:

Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse ohne Schwerter, Is it Fake?
