What do you think of this red star? Is it authentic? Also, can any of you date it for me? I know that a few of you can.

The number is 1242750.

Thanks, Ade. Do you think it is early 1945 for wartime bravery or one of the postwar long service awards?

I would learn towards it being awarded for bravery given the date.
