Does this stand a chance of being a WW2 period original?

no. 825092 - date range chart puts it at 1944 if original I think.

I've got this on hold for me for $75, and just wanted to make sure I'm correct that it's a period original before plopping down the cash.

The star is definitely from WW2. Probably awarded in the fall of 1944, or possibly in November 1944 as a decoration for 15 years of service.

Here is the order type 2 - (T.2, V 3.4) , they are at the base of the screw flange area ( ПЯТКА )!

It all depends on the classification you use: McDaniel, Mondvor, Filer, Strekalov, etc. They all classify Red Stars differently.
