The star is definitely from WW2. Probably awarded in the fall of 1944, or possibly in November 1944 as a decoration for 15 years of service.

Thanks Auke! I really appreciate it. Sounds like a good buy for $75.
I need to get with you sometime after the New Year to have this and my Order of the Patriotic War researched. Do you still do that?
-
Certainly.

Hi, Scott! You've got a good battle Order of the Red Star (T.3, V 2.1) made in 1944 on the MMD and handed around August 1944. The Lifetime Achievement Award 15 years of massively steel with more than a million.

Hi Scott,
Looks like a nice 2nd type and an even nicer price, Well done!
Regards
Mark

It all depends on the classification you use: McDaniel, Mondvor, Filer, Strekalov, etc. They all classify Red Stars differently.
