Short, concrete description of his combat feat or merits:
Comrade Belous is a Repair Platoon Leader. Serving with the 29th Independent Guards Tank Brigade during the combat actions between November 9 and 21, 1943, he took an active part in recovering and evacuating tanks that had been damaged in combat.
Comrade Belous’ platoon systematically exceeded the established repair objectives by 100-150 percent.
In a period of 12 days the platoon repaired 16 T-34 tanks. For the most part the work was conducted under enemy artillery and mortar shelling. Between December 1 and 10, 1943 the platoon repaired 7 tanks.
On an everyday basis comrade Belous provided assistance to the Repair and Technical Maintenance Brigade of the 29th Independent Guards Tank Brigade, passing on his experience to his comrades and teaching them the difficult job of repairing engine-generators.
Comrade Belous is a bold and demanding officer, capable of taking initiative.
For his efforts and valor comrade Belous deserves the Order of the Red Star.
