Short description of personal combat feat or service
During the preparatory period to counterattack the enemy near Stalingrad from 7-26 January 1943, the 6 Independent Vehicle Battalion led by Comrade Major Anisimov conducted its mission of transporting foraged goods and ammunition from the Ilovilnskaya and Panshino supply stations to the 65 Army’s divisions. While conducting much organizational and Party political organizing among his subordinates, he displayed his commander’s will and high standards, Comrade Anisimov achieved exemplary (?) and high productivity of his subordinate transportation units. Whether day or night at the loading stations, along the Army’s military routes, or at the unloading docks or in the divisions, Major Anisimov set by personal example the model of selfless duty to the Motherland, motivating his soldiers and commanders in displaying valor, bravery, and selflessness.
Through his capable organizations of repairs and management of the motorpool, Major Anisimov greatly exceeded established coefficients of motorpool readiness standards by 91%, vehicle employment by 84% and overall employment by 80%. The delivery of ammunition to the divisions was accomplished in a timely manner.
For exemplary accomplishment of the Command’s missions and for displaying resourcefulness, valor, and initiative, Major Anisimov is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
