here is a close combat clasp in bronze, not alot of finish left and broken hook on back.
not too familiar with the badge, would like to know what this one would bring.
i have not bought it yet, these are the sellers pictures.

Hi chuck
The clasp itself imo is original. It called second pattern Typ from JFS.When the price is cheap, you can remember to buy it.The clasps from the Gablonzer manufacturs, are produced in a very good quality and they are often to find with a very good finish and good condition. So it is not so easy imo to make a good deal with a clasp without the hook.
You can "your" clasp self compare with a clasp from my collection.Wait for more opinions about the clasp!

Joachim
I'd offer probably $200 given the damage and lack of finish.
wow beautiful piece kradmelder, looks great!!!
i see the seller has it listed for 300, that seems abit steep, given its condition......
il try to haggle with the guy, but i may look elsewhere .
thanks for the info on this particular maker
Hey what would a first pattern JFS look like?
I am guessing different pin and catch setup??
I would like go learn more about this particular award
At the front side of the first pattern clasp from JFS,ist the shape from the cross guard of the bajonett a little bit different to the 2. pattern clasp.
And at the backside is the crimping of the hinge different.First pattern clasp from JFS are much rarer than the second pattern.
Hi Glenn,
nice first pattern clasp!I am still missing a 1 pattern clasp in my collection. Thanks for showing.
