Nahkampfspange by AGMuK: original or repro?
Hello to everyone , I`m bought Close Combat Clasp in relic condition from on-line shop. close combat clasp made by Brass (but i think by tombac).I know most of the close combat clasp made by zink and now i`m not sure about originality. I need your help!Please, can you tell me your opinion , is it original close combat clasp or Fake.

Good tombak CCC in bronze by A.G.M.u.K type 1.1.1. IMO.

It looks good and as already mentioned it is a tombac piece and not brass.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

I agree with you guys.It looks to be a original clasp from A.G.M. u.K. ground dug.

Hello guys,
it is indeed a good one but not made from tombak. Nearly every CCC were made from zinc, only some gold grades made from tombak material.

I will defer to your knowledge János - it's in remarkably good condition is made from zinc and is ground dug!

Janos is right, thinking about it, the other day a presentation close combat clasp in gold was discussed where it was shown that only they were tombak, the regular ones being zinc or alumiminium. It was me wot wrote it...!

If it wasn't for the tip being cleanly snapped off, it would be in not bad shape at all! It interesting to imagine just How the injury must have occurred to it! And, yes-it looks genuine to my eyes as well.
