Nahkampfspange in Bronze Opinions ?

    Vaulted meant that the badge was slightly curved and did not lay absolutely flat. They came Flat, but the men would sometimes carefully give them a very slight bend to make them lie better against the tunic and not stick out on the ends. Unfortunately, alot of men would end up losing the back plate by doing this!

    Thankyou for explaining Wagriff, I didn't realise they were issued flat, so there's a better than good chance that this was actually issued & worn, a real piece of history !
