Another point to consider is that these were gilded BEFORE the fitting of the backplate, hence when the backplate was crimped in there should be evidence of gilding removal from the crimped area. A nicely gilded crimp is a major red flag IMO.

The first clasp,is called late war clasp from Steinhauer & Lück with integral backplate.It is a original clasp from S&L,but remember that Steinhauer also produced after the war....
The second clasp is a original FLL clasp.The gold finish looks also not bad.For me personaly,the gold clasps to "hot".I prefer the bronze clasps without questions.
