    Hello to all...

I also wanted to share this NAHKAMPFSPANGE IN SILBER, that i´ve got today.
The piece is somewhat reliced by time, but it´s still a quite powerful item that must have belonged to some german hero, before it fell into my hands.
I guess it was a SILBER-spange, there´s still some silver left on it.

    The questions are:
    - In your opinion, how desirable are items like this one?
    - What could this piece be worth, in its state? I was told they are quite rare, so i went for it, paid 70 USD for it. Good or too much?
    - There is a mark, is that the maker?

    Hi,

your clasp is an "JFS" (Josef Feix u. Söhne, Gablonz an der Neiße) first pattern piece. I am not an relic collector, so i can not really say what is an fair value for this clasp. This first pattern JFS clasps are much rarer than their second pattern brothers.

    Regards
    Joe

I guess that value lies pretty much with who collects them. To a Relic collector, this would be a fair item to catch, for sure!

I agree, a nice relic for the price and other than the broken catch it's complete with back-plate and needle...
    cheers, Glenn
