AH 1933 badge are fantasy badges, they never existed. Many collectors have come and gone over the years and nothing has been written about the badge's authenticity.
Mark, the AH badges are pictured as real in the Heering, Hüsken, Rowedder and Cone books :-) But you are right though, nothing has "been written" about them. Watch this space

Thanks for the responses. No more on-line auctions for me. I should have known better!
Good to see you are giving up the online auctions and not the beer!

Hi Jo, just as the M1/129 badges are pictured as authentic in books, the quality in the badges just aren't there. You mentionted the Husken book before and for the price I passed, perhaps if it covered Party badges more.... It's difficult to believe no collector in the last 70 years wouldn't have written or posted an authentic example if it existed. Maybe an uthentic AH1933 badge exists in a book somewhere, but many authentic and fake Party badges are pictured everywhere. I think it's fair to say that you have set some old thoughts straight in your research, thanks for that Fake or not, most of us just want to know what real.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig. CE

I am new to this game as well made my first buy today from a auction site. Your info is excellent it is a mine field out there where these pins are concerned.
Is it worth buying a collection of fakes (repos).
