I usually like the side by side comparisons , these old eyes aren't what they used to be . LOL
But it would be great to see more originals also .

I know what you're saying, side by side comparisons really do help but I also believe that once you've seen enough originals, these two being a good start, you'll start spotting the fakes near automatically.

The reason I don't want the ugly fakes on here is they'll only clutter up the thread, also --- being a collector of these badges I really can't stand mixing rare originals with pointless and ugly fakes... not even in the virtual realm

I would gladly participate and contribute my originals to an eventual Hitlerbewegung fake reference thread though, no problem. Would be nice to have a robust reference in relation to these rare badges, especially with regards to the obvious problem concerning the prolific sale of reproductions as originals with the market being very low on actual period examples.

Lovely party badges Slados28! Real ones are so hard to find, esp. ones with very little or no damage, these are fragile enameled badges. I've been looking for one for years with no luck except the "B" fakes, though there are unmarked fakes too. With a little study, real ones are fairly easy to spot as you say. Thanks for sharing pics of my favorite party badges!

Thank you, Marcus--- appreciate it! I love these badges too, they're rare like you say so you just gotta keep at it if you want one... you'll get there, I'm sure!

Here is the little brother to your larger Hitlerbewegung badges, along with his cousin from the DNSAP or NSPDOe circa 1923.
I love the sunray design on the early Austrian Parteiabzeichen. As with your larger HB badge, also made by R. Schanes, Wien XIII, the most prolific purveyor of the Hitlerbewegung abzeichen.

Beautiful sunray HB there --- love it! Have yet to add one. Here's another rare and beautiful Austrian sunray badge, regular membership badge by Zeugmeisterei Österreich

Very beautiful badge! Even harder to find Zeugmeisterei Österreich than a R. Schanes! Do you know if any German companies manufactured the sunray badges? Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Marcus! No, as far as I know there's no known German made party badges with the sunray pattern --- Others that know more might object but this is my understanding culled from personal experience, other collectors and published reference material. As far as I know it's a uniquely Austrian pattern as far as party badges go.

On that note though, here's one I would have absolutely loved to have added to my collection --- unfortunately it ended up way too expensive. It's a very rare badge for a rather obscure Norwegian national socialistic party of the period, NNSAP. A lovely swirly sunray pattern!

Im amazed that this stuff continues to surface. That Osterreich badge is amazing and ultra rare. Well done .

Scary history in the early years of Austria.

Another beauty, I really enjoy seeing interesting foreign National Socialist membership badges. This one must be very rare as I've never encountered it before. Surely some of these smaller splinter parties had just enough members to barely warrant producing badges. There exists (not mine) a really rare NS abzeichen from the National Sozialistische Arbeiter Partei - St. Anton am Arlberg in Austria, from the Tirol area, circa 1923 - 1924 with a total membership of 112!

    Thanks for sharing!
