Oh dear, the tangled web we weave eh fella's?
I understand exactly where you're coming from Doug, I was thinking along those same lines. But I think that the OP's pic is distorted and that's knocked us all for a loop. IF it is a fake, then that's the best attempt I've yet seen at the lettering so far, too many of the subtle nuances, the letter shapes, the remaining gilding, the transparent enamel finish etc. are there if you allow for the photo being slightly "off".
I'm sticking with my revised opinion (for the mo) until someone can convince me otherwise.....
Side by side and correctly orientated for comparison.
Regards, Ned

I agree with you Ned that it could be a good one.
I have seen that number mentioned before but with no pictures.
Everything as I mention ties in to it being a good badge that has had some additional work done on it. BUT that wreath is awfull with the pitting and wear.
Even if I wanted an original party badge I wouldn't want the badge posted(unless it was really cheap)
I do note that Casey is posting a lot of stuff for opinions...keeping me on my toes
All the best

I would never buy one of these like the one posted, considering these are expensive ítems. Surely it s a good one as Ned says, but I rather save a bit more and wait to get one that will pose no questions from anyone and will be full of from all members looking at it, that s my humble opinion

I knew I had seen 50600 before it is currently on German warbooty waiting to be priced
I'm off to check this fellow out again between G&Ts

Another mention John t over on waf asked about who was awarded it on 210216

The 1st badge is original# 50,600. it has a replaced pin attachment which was not unusual due to how fragile the original pins were.

Thanks Erich,
I'm pleased that I looked at this one again after my initial knee jerk reaction due to the original question being so bloody ambiguous. A lesson learned.

No problem Ned. These political badges are what I collect.
