NSDAP Parteiabzeichen M1 / 77 - 2 versions - one magnetic.
Hi Gents , i'm starting to question these 2 party badges now... I purchased 2 x Foerster & Barth M1/77 party badges , both are listed on the Jo's site , one has the / (right facing) and the other \ (left facing) - The right facing / is magnetic and the other one is not. Is this correct please?. (Talk about paranoid lol) Thank you chaps.
They are interesting Jimm, Both look okay to me
It is only the first one that is shown on Jo's site with the rear facing \
The one with the normal facing / has the number more towards the outer edge.
They are only listed as having a messing (brass) planchet with no mention of a magnetic one.
Are you sure it is not picking the steel pin up?

Someone is getting a bit paranoid now :P
No doubt the first one is good. The second one, although not looking too bad, has thicker letters, which is not that common in period originals. That makes me a bit uncomfortable.

I get no joy from this, believe me. The overly shiny and thick rim of the second one also worry me. A lot of badges with that rim end up being fakes. However, I might be wrong!by jimm

As stated first is without any doubt original piece, second one is probably a fake, I really dont like how that one looks. It could be some newer reproduction.
