"late war painted" does that mean cutting back on expense of manufacturing? Is it of lesser value than others?

Very nice condition-especially so for the painted varieties, as they chipped easily. M1/63 was made by the prestigious firm of Steinhauer & Lück of Lüdenscheid. Nice little badge!

That's a fantastic badge, the painted ones are hard to find in that condition especially at a reasonable price, you should be really pleased with that buy mate, great stuff!
