Nazi armband

Whilst working in my museum this morning a chap came in with the attached armband. I thought it was a little fancier than the average but without my reference books to hand I was not sure of what it is. I was thinking SA or Gauleiter. I will go see what I can find out now, but its certainly a beauty. Not joined up at the back, I don't believe it was actually used and so not finished.
Just thought you might like to see it anyway.

It's an NSDAP Political Leaders' armband. Not Gauleiter, though, but much lower: It's for a Leiter einer Hauptstelle, Kreis level.

Just found it in one of my books, as you say HPL2008, certainly lower than a Gauleiter. Really pleased to have it all the same. Never seen or handled one before.
