NSDAP Armband? Fake?

Hello all,

I've had this armband for quite some time and never really had it checked out as it has really just been sitting in a shoebox lately. I don't have that good of a feeling on this one, and thought anyone with greater knowledge would be able to confirm my doubts.

Unless it is a very earley made before RZM controll I guess it is possibly ok but not as a RZM era IMO I could be wrong though. Im sure someone else will be able to help further good luck.

From your images, I believe this is a genuine period kampfbinde based on the construction.

"Binde" is like the English word "band", so it's something like "struggleband" or, "armband for the struggle" basically. A non-Nazi armband might be called an "Armbinde" in German, which translates exactly to our word; "Armband".

My concern would be the crooked application of the swastika roundal and the width of the swastika itself.

Hi Eric, it looks like it once had a paper tag on the back which would infer it being RZM era.

If offered to me, I think I would pass on it.
