Hey Hal. Sorry to say this is a poorly made copy in my opinion. The quality and construction methods don't measure up unfortunately. Here's an example to compare it to from a previous thread. Best regards.

NSDAP Supreme Department Leader armband
The pictures aren't the best, but it looks like an original to me. Closer images of the oak leaves would help.
Looks like red piping - Gauleitung Leiter einer Hauptstelle armband.
Leader armbands come in a variety of shades of oak leaves - some are bright, like the poster's example disputing
this bands' authenticity, and some are dull, like the original poster's armband.
Check out Jeff Clark's website to see what I'm saying (he wrote the book on party leader armbands):
Place order for Armbands from different German wars at best prices
Thanks Bmsmear, hope this helps. Hal

Happy to stand corrected! Congrats Hal. Thank you for the correction Bmsmear. Kindest regards.

My pleasure. To see examples of almost every party leader armband, there are 39, go to Jeff Clark’s site, go to archives, and search for armband. Click on an armband and it will take you to multiple images of that armband from all angles: front, back, inside. Wonderful resource and worth studying if one is interested in collecting them.
