The construction of this is unusual as I have never seen an example with the swastika embroidered through the cloth to the backside.

I do have a printed one in my collection, but don't recall it looking like this on the underside?

maybe it's just the photo, but I don't see the separation of the white 'circle' from the red cloth

It's a single piece kampfbinde that's printed so there would not be a sewed white circle.

I have never seen a printed armband with the reverse side showing the white disc and backward swastika. I would be uncomfortable owning this.
