What is this armband please?

Never seen one that colour before!

Not sure. Has color scheme of the old 1930-1933 Stahlhelm Armband but I have only seen one of them in my collecting life. Have not seen one like this with that burgundy piping around the roundel patch? Odd one by me. Sorry I could not be more helpful. See what the other folks say. I am not confident based on what I know to tell you one way or another.

I have never seen this armband before. That factor in judgement is never a determining factor as I am confident much more will surface in the future that I have never encountered. The construction is odd. Of course, many early pieces during the kampfzeit were home made. More detailed and well lit pictures are required. Hopefully, Wim Saris will see this and may have an answer.

Bob, sorry. No idea, what the red edge around the middle part does mean.
The Stahlhelm version does not have that either. The band itself was, as
far as I know, from cotton and not wool or feltlike materials.

A wild shot here, but can this piece has lost it "red" colours during the years? (washed out, sunburned etc)

Yes i can also see there is a red rim in the pic, but the grey base seems to be made out of another material.
