AKFRIKAKORPS Cuff Title - Confirm Fake

Hi Folks,

New to the forum. I collect U.S. WW2 militaria. From time to time I find German or Japanese stuff in with lots that I've purchased. I had a local friend who collected German so I would always horse trade with him. Unfortunately he recently passed away. So I'm a little stuck on identifying German items.

I recently purchased a large estate of a WWII/Korean U.S. Army vet. In among the items was this Afrika Korps cuff title. He had it thumb tacked to a piece of cardboard. After looking around the net and reading the sticky here I've come to the conclusion that it is a reproduction. I would just like to confirm that with the experts here.

If by chance I am wrong and it's the real deal. What would be the approximate value?

I could be wrong but if you are referring to previous thread by Ade (administrator) I think its a repro? Simply because it was cited that the openings in the R and P should be of different size and shape? Ironically mine just came today so I ll share a pic! I hope for you it s found differently its just my two cents. Regards. Also thanks Ade! Great pics by the way.

I think you'll read in his post #2 that most, but not all are that way. The "F" in Scott's has the proper length to it, has the correct back to the letters.
I have one similar to his and it is original.
