Hi Neil. Yes, I was wondering about that small button? It is only under the shoulder strap on that side and not on the other. I was thinking perhaps an Adjutants lanyard? Although would an Adjutant wear a modified OR's tunic as opposed to a tailored private purchase example in good quality material? Did Officer's wear marksmanship lanyards?

I have uploaded some more photo's as requested. The big thing for me is that the cuffs wear and tear match the rest of the tunic exactly which would imply to me that it was a period officer modification.

Officers did not wear marksmans awards.

All looks fine to me. I think it is a period conversion.

    Cheers, Ade.
