Scarce badge...
Glenn
a good very scarce badge.
Here is the order from May 27, 1941:
Note the two sizes mentioned and the badge was meant for those
serving in occupied countries (besetzten Gebiete). See also
the small version was to be worn with a civil tunic; the larger one
with the GL-uniform (which were "zum Wehrmachtgefolge
gehörenden Zivilpersonen"). The announcement does not say
anything about Luftwaffe??
I have seen some Luftwaffe visored caps with this badge, but not
ever a photograph where it was worn with headgear. Just at the
breast I have seen. The order doe not mention it to be worn with
the visored cap anyway. Is possible, but why not ever a photograph
has popped up for this something strange Generalluftzeugmeister-
industrial-badge.
Watch no regular Luftwaffe eagle, worn with the tunic. Just a Luftwaffe
field-cap.
Maybe one of our photo-"experts" can help out with more photos??
This is about what they did (from Wikipedia):
Zu den Hauptaufgaben des Generalluftzeugmeisters gehörte die Entwicklung,
Erprobung und Beschaffung des gesamten Materials der deutschen Luftwaffe,
sowie die Bereitstellung von Vorrat aller unterstellten Dienststellen der Luftwaffe.
Wonderful material.
it never stops amazing me the wonderful world of knowledge and the people who have it!!!!!!!!!

The nice thing about this forum I get to go to school with a glass of spiced rum ( I love it during the cold months ) and learn about the things that interest me.
