Crimean Tartar "self defence " companies arm badge ?

Hello,

anyone know what arm badge was worn by the Ukrainian / Crimean Tartar self defence battalions ?
I think the badge did appear in one of David Littlejohns books.

I do not have his books, but the pics i found shows what seems to be the white "Im dienst der deuthcen wehrmacht" armband.

You are right the correct term is Tatar!.....

Hi,

were these 8 Tatar self defence companies Hiwis/ hilfswilliger or Ost bataillionen ? The only Tartar eastern troops I know of are the Volga Tatars.
