Re: Deutsche Wehrmacht armbands
they were worn during the by civilian memebrs working for the Wehrmacht. I believe the two that had badges on them my have been vet bring backs and had various badges put on them that they had collected.

Re: Deutsche Wehrmacht armbands
its almost like "spot the badge" i think I can ID SS, Luft, Polizei,a cap badge and political eagles and maybe a party pin!

Re: Deutsche Wehrmacht armbands
I agree with the Polizei and the political eagles. The rest i can't by these photos. I have purchased one DW armband recently. I can't wait to get it.

Re: Deutsche Wehrmacht armbands
Hi,
nice armbands and shows they are original to, I thknk they are bringbacks and whoever has kept german badges on them. When i was a kid the old soldiers would put lots of cap badges on there belts and wear them like that, i wouldnt have thought they were worn by people who worked for the wehrmacht, as the swastika was band then.

Yeh I agree, I dont think German vets would have had these post war......Is it usual to have the early style eagle stamp on these though?

Re: Deutsche Wehrmacht armbands
Thanks pammy. Yeh basically civilians/public servants working for the military wore them. I suppose as a means of identification as they wandered around bases etc
