I thought I would ask the experts on this patch it says it was never issued and is on grey wool, which I know they started doing during the war.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm no expert and can't advice you, but i posted mine to compare. Yours has 9 yellow pieces in the center whilst mine has 10. I don't know if that's due to a different maker or if it's a bad sign.

I have been surfing the internet since 7am looking at edelweiss patches and have seen many different variations of the patches. All of my books on the Gebirgsjagers are back at home in FL.
