    The backing isn't the right shape imo...swastika looks to thin...but I know late war stuff was hastily made. Seller is taking better pics in natural light for me Tom.

    Looks fine to me for this type which was introduced in autumn 1942, though I agree the Swaz (& wreath) looks a bit thinner than usual so perhaps a late war version or a makers variation.

    Better pics guys. Paul at Lakeside has the same eagle for sale....he says it was the last pattern Heer breast eagle.

    All I can say is I have seen that type of eagle sewn on mid to late war M-43 and M-44 tunics. timothy
