Here's one that I was looking at. The "A" seems placed higher up compared to yours.

These marks were stamped by hand so the exact placement would vary but usually somewhere around the centre third of the prong.

The prong on this one seems shorter than the one you posted. Is this a cause for concern?

Check out this thread where someone commented that Assmann did NOT produce original gorgets. I don't have the book on gorgets that are referenced in that thread. This is why I did not buy the one I saw in the shop because it was Assmann marked.
