I saw one go at an auction three weeks ago in Cincinnati. The man was from columbus and said he ran a military surplus store there. He paid $1,100 for it. I went because it was at a home and I thought no one would be there but the parking lot was packed! It was standing room only. A flak badge went for $900 and a well worn battle flag that was supposed to be taken down from a building after it was captured went for $2,000 stuff was crazy.
here is mine on display
Hans
Hans, that's amazing!
Don't get me wrong, but I also find it intimidating, kind of scary!
Nice display heyst56, it looks great
I assume you are aware of the health risks with regard to the luminous paint used on the gorget. noticing how much the thing glows it would appear the caesium is still pretty active
Hans
