    I used to collect these babies. £15 is a good price !

    As Nick states...a good one, looks to be a post 1940 field grey background version, just like the one I recently aquired for use on a restoration project. Nick thats a great set of Eidelweiss's you had !

    Hello Gentlemen,
    First of all, i confirm, the first example shown in this thread is genuine.
    Please remember that those embroidered patches were only meant to be worn on private purchased tunics and walking-out dress. The BeVo type was meant to be worn on the Feldbluse and the Mantel.

    Just an observation concerning the bust you posted.
    In the german Heer, the holster for the handgun was worn on the other side of the belt. Per regulation, it should be worn on the left hip, but for a more "combat" look, you can place it where the mapcase is on your photo. and what look like a private purchased mapcase goes on the other side.
