    As an update, in the same shop that I found this jacket and the Italian camo jumpsuit, I found this Luftwaffe Pilots Jacket, marked simply as "European Flight Jacket". I post it to show that this is a total fake, and this casts my two zeltbahn pieces in a worse light now. Lesson learned about fieldmade items and items without provenance!

    Yes, I think this clinches it for me. Are the boards on this jacket fake as well though? Or are they DDR? I haven't ever handled period epaulets and these looked ok to me. Not going to go out and buy it, just curious for future reference.
