Hi Glenn, that is correct. But these were also worn by Soviet civillians at the time.

Soviet industry was very hard pressed during and after the war. They could not afford the luxury and making garments just for the German POW's. Britain and the US also only gave POW's dyed Batledress or US uniforms with P/W stencilled onto the back or sleeves. No special prison uniforms were made. Also bear in mind many of these were not actually given to German POW's until their own uniforms fell apart from use, which may have been post war.
