German Shoulder Boards, Are they real?

Article about: I bought these today, they did not cost much so I took a chance Can anyone tell me if they are WW2 or not, and what does the pink on green stand for? Thank you Dean O Canada

    Again the Members come through!!! Thank you so much, As most of you know, I do not Collect WW2 German items except Ordnance, and I was hoping they were correct, but I admit when I bought them I thought they were Army Panzer!!
    As I mentioned Perhaps I should have bought the other pair that were different as well as a single with 2 pips and a large 2 "letter" insignia in the center, it also makes me wonder if the side cap was correct, dark in colour with a police or Fire cloth on the front.

    Why "till about 1940"? I have never heard that the Ingenieurkorps' pink branch color was discontinued at any point.

    In any case, this is not an Ingenieurkorps shoulder board, as that would have only the pink underlay and not the additional dark green one.
