    Hello LeAnn,
    This knot is not meant for a bayonet. This is not a "Troddel", but a "Faustriemen" meant for a saber....This is not the first time i see this configuration anyway. IMO you should not split the set...if it wasn't done by a german soldier, it could have been done by the vet who captured it....

    Hi LeAnn, "BO" is the marking for SA Gruppe Bayerische Ostmark, so the dagger came from Bavaria or Austria.

    Wonderful item's!
    I would love to own the original Feldgendarme gorget I only have a repro as original's are super rare as is the mint SS buckle.
    Nice pickup's from vet estate

    They are for sale - but not online. They go to public auction on June 20, my company is called Stokes Auction. My intent of posting was not to advertise the items but to find out information about them. I would love to see the items go to a collector and anyone interested can contact me directly for information.
