    Hello,

This is a strip of uncut Coastal Artillery eagles. These are pre 1940 style with gold on dark green base material. Some collectors do not like this type because of the design and I don't think that they have a period picture of these in wear. The construction on the reverse is typical period construction and this style is attributed to being manufactured in a foreign country. The prices of these range from $30. -$50. here in the US and sometimes a bit more overseas. This style of eagle is not in much demand.

These are possibly cap insignia. How wide is the wing span?

Yes! How can you tell the size of these from the pictures furnished?

Not the size perhaps, but the number of inner wing feathers says tunic eagle as does the indentation between the body and the wreath, cap eagles are straight, whilst tunic eagles have the indentation.

    Hey Bob,

My friend must have made the post when I left the room. When I got back the computer was off and we went out.

As Jerry pointed out in the above post, one of the main differences between BeVo breast and cap eagles are the number of smaller inner feathers. 4 for the cap and 5 for the breast eagles. Another note on this pattern of eagle is that so far it has not been found in a cap eagle size, only in breast eagle size in the colors that I mentioned before.
