Thanks Jerry. As mentioned somewhere on one of my threads today, these eagles were all given to me. Lucky!
Out of the 6 I was given I think 3 are good and 3 bad. I will post the KM Artillery breast & cap, both bad IMO.

OK, now I'm confused. did you not say in another thread on eagles that the threads at the back should be twisted thread and not single strands?

The pictures dont blow up big enough on my screen to see that much detail. Also, these are probably French made for the KM/coastal art and that comment was made in regard to German made eagles for the Heer. These French made examples do not conform to the usual rules.

Some people do not like these and there has been debate about their originality. I bought the identical cap eagle years ago and the trop version more recently, but I doubt I would buy them again, as many do not like them, and it's easier and safer to stick to 'text book' examples.

Okay, thanks Jerry, I remember that thread now. Seeing as I have them and you think they are good, I'll hang onto them for now. Not bad, 4 out of 6 good!

Great eagle, thanks for showing. I see the difference in colour of backing material.
