I am considering this tunic which is from a well-known dealer. I just wanted to post it here to be certain its original. Thanks guys.

From the pics supplied I don't see any problems.

As ever, it it the insignia and making sure that is is originally applied is the key issue here.

I like it, but there are a Lot of medal loops to fill, for sure! This guy had more decorations than a tabletop Christmas tree....

Wow thank you Larry! Now to narrow it down further I will find out which one of these colonels won the german cross, which appear entry the owner of this tunic won.

Unfortunately, I suspect the list of DK winners will likely include nearly every one of the Co's of a Panzer Regiment! And the loops do not tell if it was in Silver or in Gold. Are any of the other loops indicative of, say, a distinctive badge that could help pare down the list of possibles?

The center of the left pocket appears to be a WWI Iron Cross
and Spange above. If so, the guy was a lifer.........

William, I'm not quite sure yet. I don't have the tunic in hand yet, although I fear this will be a difficult task if even possible! Steve I believe you are correct.

So far i believe that Rudolf Sieckenius was the owner of this tunic. He commanded the 2nd Panzer regiment from 1941 until he was wounded at Stalingrad and flown out on January 18th 1943. This would validate the Eastern front ribbon on the tunic. 1 Feb 1942 he became a full colonel. As a Colonel he took command of the 16th Panzer-division from 05 May 1943 - 31 May 1943. He was, importantly, a WWI vet which would explain his award loop for a Spange. Records shows that he was awarded the Spange for both classes of EKs. The only snag is that he was NOT a german cross winner, which leaves the loop on his right pocket a mystery!
