Heer Standard Bearers Sleeve Shield-Question

What unit does this shield ( orange) represent?Several firms that reproduce it say "Recruitment",but somehow that doesn't seem right.Anyone know for sure?

The orange branch color was used by recruitment [Wehrersatzwesen] as well as military police [Feldgendarmerie].

This appears golden yellow to me which would make it Cavalry. I do not think that they manufactured one in orange.

There were two colors of yellow according to the plate about Wehrmacht Fahnen und Standarten
from Dezember 1936: Kavallerie and Nachrichtentruppe.
Cavalry looks as a pale orange; the other one as lighter yellow (Zitronengelb). Pure orange did not exist
as flag or Standarte.
I would also say cavalry!

He is still right. He did not say that this sleeve shield was orange or that it was recruiting or police, He stated that they used those colors.

Andreas' statement about the Waffenfarben for recruiting and feldgendarmerie is correct.

The standard bearer's patch is for cavlary. It is Goldgelb. I owned such items in the 1970s. Long gone.

I do not think I have ever seen one of these with orange for Feldgendarmerie etc.

The orange is quite distinct, no one would mistake it for Goldgelb.
