Thanks for the photos Jerry. So if one found any other eagle, be it panzer or whatever, and it has the indentation you showed...it is an original French made item?

Tom, on this I am not sure, as I was only looking at KM eagles.
I'll update this when or if I can.

Jerry, I was just on Snyder treasures seeing as he has such a nice selection of "good"

items, and a few of his eagles have this indentation. Make them real?

HI Tom, if they are KM yes, but for the Heer, I'm not sure. Though Snyders have such a solid reputation!

Hi, if you read the thread, you will see that my opinion has changed on this particular type of KM eagles. I looked again at your eagles and I would ask if you can post better pics of the two eagles in question. As was said above, it only affects eagles of presumed French origin which have the combination of all of a set of features. If they have weave in the wrong place, but not have the other features, they would still be fakes IMO. As always, I offer my opinion, which might or might not be correct. If I am incorrect in posting an opinion, well I'm sorry, but it is just an opinion, not a statement of fact.
