Help with Eagle requested

Article about: Hi - Can anyone tell me what branch of the service this Eagle is from? It seems very good quality. Perhaps made from stainless steel, but I am not certain of this. It is approx. 6.9 cm long.

    I've never saw that design before...

    Looks original though, I think may be an early design.

    It is an Heer cap eagle. But the design is not an early one. Early issues have a shorter wingspan.

    I can tell you that it is not stainless steel. This was not used for cap badges.

    I agree Geoff. That is why I avoided saying original in my posts Look at the right wing. This lacks the feather details as seen on the left wing.

    some early insignia has that kind of pin attachment.
    The details is due to the Picture. I think you have to make a sharper pic.
    This one below is the early pattern, but still Iam intrigated by yours
