Thank you for the information. The funny things is I had books on patches,collar tabs and shoulder boards for YEARS and never used them so 4 months ago I sold them on eBay, I guess I should have kept them.

3 appears to be a shoulder board for a Heer NCO - Unteroffizier. The Waffenfarbe on the edging is hard to identify. It may be light green in which case it could be for mountain troops or faded green for armored infantry - hard to tell. NH

I refrained from saying as the colour is poor, it could even be a faded Panzer Grenadier....Who knows
