different rank and why is it not a complete triangle it shouldn't be cut down

I cannot tell whether it is genuine or not, but this is the first-pattern (pre-1938) sleeve rank insigne for a Hordenführer of the Deutsches Jungvolk.

It is on dark blue backing for wear with the dark blue DJ winter uniform jacket; there was also a version on brown cloth for wear with the shirt.

(ID as per John R. Angolia's "The HJ" Vol. 1 and David Littlejohn's "The Hitler Youth".)
