Re: Insignia lot - help identify please!
by
Neil Hever
Hi folks, I just picked up this grouping of insignia at auction for $20.
I can identify most of them but there are several that are not familiar - hopefully you can help. The large blue insignia must be a Japanese Navy Paratrooper patch. I know nothing about them. The smaller black and gold crossed anchors is unknown. The black triangle patch with gold motif seems to be US. I also do not know anything about the black swastika patch with silver wreath. The boards seem to be Feurschutz and RAD. Any help or clarification would be appreciated. Neil
the black triangle with the gold is U.S. 63rd infantry patch, I think I got the # right, I have one just like it. ww2 of course, hey you got a great deal on the lot.

i believe the sb with two pips is adminstrative,,the swas in a wreath is foreign volunteer police, probably for the overseas cap,,,,bottom ones are Luft, top ones on white are KM,,extreme left patch is Army Specialist badge for Signals Sargeant...

Re: Insignia lot - help identify please!
The bottom left circular patch is a German Heer pre-war funkmeister (similar to signal corps) patch.

Re: Insignia lot - help identify please!
Ade, Thanks for the photo of the Schuma insignia. It looks like an NCO grade maybe? The example I have is in silver thread - may be officer grade or fake.

Re: Insignia lot - help identify please!
silver is officer or NCO/Officer aspirant type...

Cheers, Ade.

The one beside the Schuma, with the crossed anchors and lifesaving ring
is a modern commercial badge.........
