I am unsure of this badge's official name, despite looking on Adrian's post, please correct if necessary.

This is badge #4 from Grandfather's shoebox.




I found the following info:

Diestruck round pinback gilt brass metal alloy and black enamel German Kriegsmarine Navy Veteran dress uniform branch insignia. It has GES. GESCH on the back under the pin.

Size: 2 by 3-3/4 inches

Condition: very good

Is this a genuine badge? and if so what might its value be?

I moved it here Rob as it is insignia, not a decoration.

It's the Brust-Hoheitszeichen [breast national insigne] as worn by the members of the NSDMB [Nationalsozialistischer Deutscher Marine-Bund = National Socialist German Navy League].

I cannot comment on authenticity or value.
