Finally decided to get a Volkssturm armband
Sometimes regarded as minor collectible items these armbands actually represent an important part of WWII. They are a symbol of the final months of the Thousand Year Reich

Indeed. One can not imagine what these elderly men and young boys went through in order to add a few months more to an already lost war. All over Germany but especially in Berlin some of these poorly armed "soldiers" showed great bravery trying to do the impossible. Casualties in the Volkssturm were heavy.

Whenever possible I like displaying items with a period pic showing that object in use
